How can I convert WordPress template to Blogger. Please mention some softwares, which can be used to make coding work easier.

I have this WordPress theme and I’m going crazy. I want to convert it into a blogger theme and use it. Are there any sites that can show me how to do so?

Or is there anyone willing to take a request?

If you have a livejournal account, is there a way to automatically have some or all of your posts also be posted on wordpress, blogger, or any other place where you maintain a different blog? Can someone provide detailed instructions or a link explaining it all? I want to go from livejournal to another place.

How does WordPress or Blogger associate subdomains and allow for independent template usage? Is there a software design term used for this application?

Blog Software: Livejournal, Drupal, Facebook, WordPress, Comparison of Sites Using the Livejournal Codebase, Midgard, Joomla, Blogger

I’ve been writing on WordPress for a while now, but I prefer to use Blogger after reading so many blogs on that site. Is there a way I can transfer my posts to Blogger from WordPress and not lose any of my information? I’m not necessarily interested in keeping the blog name, so that isn’t an issue. I just don’t want to lose my posts. Please help!

If anybody been on the internet for any length of time, then you’ve certainly run across many blogs. Maybe you’ve even read a few blogs consistently. You might be thinking that starting a block could be a great asset for your business. It could help you to connect with customers, share information about new products or services, and enable you to do some free or low-cost advertising. If you’ve gotten this far in the thought process, you’ve probably realized that there are two basic options when it comes to blogging. You can choose to use Blogger, which is owned by Google. Or, you can choose to blog using WordPress, which is open source software. Each of these choices has advantages and disadvantages, but as usual one comes out ahead when you consider all of the factors involved. Blogger is a blog storage service that allows private or multi-user blogs with time-stamped entries. It was created by Pyra Labs, which was bought by Google in 2003. The service itself is located at www.blogger.com. Generally, the blogs are hosted by Google at sub domains of blogspot.com. Until May 1 2010 an FTP service allows pages edited through Blogger to be published to other hosts. Like everything else that Google touches, Blogger has been instrumental in bringing a practice that was the privy of the technologically savvy into the mainstream. In this case it is the habit of keeping an online journal. Blogger’s advantages are that it is extremely easy to use and very quick to set up. Because it is owned by Google, Blogger integrates well with the full line of Google applications.

WordPress

WordPress started in 2003 with a single bit of code to enhance the typography of everyday writing and with fewer users than you can count on your fingers and toes. Since then it has grown to be the largest self-hosted blogging tool in the world. WordPress is an Open Source project, which means there are hundreds of people all over the world working on it. WordPress is an open source CMS, often used as a blog publishing application powered by PHP and MySQL. WordPress started as just blogging systems, but has evolved to be used as full content management system and so much more through the thousands of plugging, widgets, and themes. WordPress has a templating system, which includes widgets that can be rearranged without editing PHP or HTML code, as well as themes that can be installed and switched between. WordPress is completely customizable and can be used for almost anything. The PHP and HTML code in themes can also be edited for more advanced customizations. WordPress also features integrated link management; a search engine-friendly, clean permalink structure; the ability to assign nested, multiple categories to articles; and support for tagging of posts and articles. Automatic filters that provide for proper formatting and styling of text in articles are also included. WordPress also supports the Trackback and Pingback standards for displaying links to other sites that have them linked to a post or article. WordPress has a rich plug in architecture which allows users and developers to extend its functionality beyond the features. If you’re considering starting a blog to promote your business, you’ve probably realized that the choice mostly comes down to using Blogger or WordPress. Blogger is a great option for beginners since it now offers the option of registering your own domain name. However for flexibility, professionalism, and ease of use WordPress still comes out on top.

When it comes to building and creating profit pulling niche blogs WordPress really shines and really beat Blogger.com heads down.

If you didn’t know, Blogger is a free blogging software owned by Google. You can set up a blogging account in three easy steps and start blogging.

On the other hand, WordPress is a very popular blogging software. The easiest way to install and set up WordPress would be to do a one click installation from the Cpanel of your hosting account.

Now, WordPress is more than just a blogging software.

In the past when blogging first evolved, marketers did not give it much thought…until they discovered the power of syndication through RSS feeds.

With Rss feeds, they can now reach out to a target markets they normally would not have been able to.

You can liken the Rss feeds to the different channels on the radio station. It allows your message to be broadcast to targeted groups of people. For example, classical channel appeals to classical music lovers an so on.

You can create Rss feeds with Google’s Blogger, however additional setup is required.

WordPress has an in-built syndication function, unlike Blogger.com where it still needs some configuration.

In addition, WordPress has some powerful features that make it a marketer’s dream tool:

(a) Automatic Pinging

WordPress will automatically ping the blog directories listed each time you publish a post.

This notifies the blog directories of your blog updates, and can bring more traffic and visitors to your blog.

(b) Categories

It might not seem like a big deal, but when you realize that you can name the category using keywords you want to target, then BAM!

It hits you like a rock. You can have multiple categories named using keywords you want to target, and write your post under that category. With proper planning and carefully spreading the same keyword in your post, you can achieve higher Search Engine rankings easily.

This is where Google’s Blogger lose out.

Google’s Blogger does not provide any category support. If you want to target selected keywords, you need to manually create the links and manually tweak the Blogger template.

As you blog gets bigger and you post more often, this can become a nightmare.

(c) Plugins
Plugins give WordPress additional functions and features. All you need to do is upload the Plugin file, Activate the plugin file and you’re set to go.

Example plugins would include Google Adsense plugins where you can insert Adsense plugins with the click of a button. Or Chitika Ads plugins, again to display contextual ads and let you make more money with your blog.

(d) Easily change the theme of your blog (site)
With WordPress, everything is just point and click (or plug N play). You can easily change the theme and layout of your Blog without having to learn about web design.

Design is important since a good design can appeal, attract and keep your readers coming back. Changing your blog design also keeps your niche blog ‘refreshing’ in terms of look and feel.

This is why WordPress knocks out Google’s Blogger when it comes those serious about building long-term profitable niche blogs.

I have a blogger blog with a custom domain set up. I want to export it to a hosted wordpress blog. Some of my posts have good ranks with google and I don’t want to mess that up. My new WP blog will be the .net of my custom blogger domain so the permalinks will technically change if I import the old posts…any ideas how to get around this?

Thing is, I’ve just migrated to WordPress. However, I have a number of people who have subscribed to my feeds from my blogger blog. What should I do to ensure that they now receive updates from my WordPress blog?
