Wpol is short for wordpress online. And is now applicating for hosting on wordpress themes.

This wordpress theme is the first theme since wordpress online build. And this is also my first wordpress theme since I go to work.

Here is the Screenshot for this theme. I like the sky, the clouds, and blue

WordPress have a lots of themes, that is one of the reasons why people like using wordpress, may be joomla themes are more beautiful

When you design a wordpress theme, you have to design the appearance, the html and css even JavaScript, and then you must know PHP, because the wordpress is built by PHP, if you are designing the wordpress theme by yourself.

Well, maybe you hire someone to work for you on getafreelancer, but if you are interested in designing the wordpress theme, you want to do by yourself, don’t you?

So I introduce the 960GS system to you, this CSS tool can help you with your web design.

So what is 960GS?

The 960 Grid System is an effort to streamline web development workflow by providing commonly used dimensions, based on a width of 960 pixels. There are two variants: 12 and 16 columns, which can be used separately or in tandem. Read more.

Why 960GS?

The premise of the system is ideally suited to rapid prototyping, but it would work equally well when integrated into a production environment. There are printable sketch sheets, design layouts, and a CSS file that have identical measurements.

Can I find some demos?

Sure! The 12 column grid is divided into portions that are 60 pixels wide. The 16 column grid consists of 40 pixel increments. Each column has 10 pixels of margin on the left and right, which create 20 pixel wide gutters between columns. View demo.

Today, when I opened my email box, I found that the WordPress Themes Directory sent me a email, not good news, but the bad news.

Unfortunately we don’t yet support parent/child themes in the directory, but this is something that we have our list of features to add.

This is what I received. Yesterday, when I finished a COOL WordPress theme with Sandbox, and I was going to upload the theme to the WordPress Themes Directory.

It’s a bad news for me, anyway, this is a CHILD THEME, but WPTD do not support this kind of theme, what a pity.

Anyway, I’ll upload the cool theme on my hosting, although my hosting is not enough for the DOWNLOAD for many times.

It’s looks simple, but it’s quite cool, the list, the quote, and the comments are the spark of this theme.

So,What about of Sandbox

Yesterday, I talked about how to design a WordPress theme EASILY! The solution is to use the Sandbox, anyway, when you begin to design a WordPress theme with the Sandbox, you will find a lot of problems if you don’t understand some feature of the Sandbox.This is what I felt at the begin when I began to use Sandbox.

For instance, when I am going to design a theme that the pre and next post displayed under the post, but the Sandbox just let it be a little difficult because you have to change the code, that what I couldn’t do because I just want to write some CSS and the theme will designed quickly, but nothing can help, just have to change the code.

Another example, the menu of Sandbox is just including the page items, but not including the HOME item. Anyway, I must use Google to find out the solution and at last I changed the code in function.php.

So, the solution is, if you want to custom a bardian WordPress Theme, do not use Sandbox, but if you just want to design a theme, do use Sandbox

I am, exactly, a freelance online, so I used to designing a lot of WordPress themes for my clients, until I find Sandbox.

Usually, when I decide to use a tool to design for my client, I will check out of the license first. So, let’s talk about the license of Sandbox.

OK, the Sandbox is under the GNU License. This is the quote of the Sandbox’s official :

It’s a good news to WordPress fans like me . Also it’s a good news to web designer or WordPress themes authors. There many themes host on the directory just after some days.

As a WordPress user, you can download your favorite theme on the WordPress themes directory.

And as a WordPress theme designer, you can also share your theme, and link to your blog if you follow the requirements, not bad.
