Support old domain including directory, for example, it is supported if your old blog siteurl is some link like http://www.old.com/blog/, this is not supported before this version.
Fixed the ‘No bar’ bug!

Feature:

You will need this plugin if your blog domain is changed, this plugin will make your old domain 301 redirect to your new domain.

if your blog’s old domain is: http://www.old.com/blog
and you got a new domain, you want to use the new domain on the blog
the new domain like this: http://www.new.com

the best way is to redirect to your old domain to the new domain, with 301 http code.
this is good for the new domain and the search engine.

this plugin can help you to do this.

Install and setting

Once you active this plugin. Follow the next steps.

Go to the setting page, and fill your old blog siteurl, for example: http://www.old.com/blog/
The plugin will auto load your new blog site from Settings->General->Blog Address URL. So there is no need to setting for new domain
Choose the option to open or close this feature.

Example

your old blog siteurl: http://www.old.com/blog/
your new blog siteurl: http://www.new.com/

if you use this plugin
when people visit your blog with url: http://www.old.com/blog/207/
this plugin will changed the domain to the url: http://www.new.com/207 with 301 redirect.

How to disable the post revision

If you use WordPress, you will find it has a very useful function : Revision.

If you update your post, wordpress will generate a revision.

But if you do not like this post, there is tow ways to close this function.

find the file named ‘wp-config.php’, and add the code below:
define(‘WP_POST_REVISIONS’, false);
Or you can install a wordpress plugin named Revision control. this is a nice way to resolve this problem

Now, you can use the wordpress plugins directory search function easily!

Before, you may hate the search function in wordpress. But now, it never happen again, since wordpress use Sphinx. Sphinx is a open-source full-text search engine(under GPL version 2).

If you use the wordpress search function before, you will found the result of the keyword with space is too dirty! But now, never, never! We can search keywords with space now! A good news for wordpress fun

It’s a long time sina I write the last post 5 most popular WordPress ideas. Many friends tell me that the WordPress online has a page rank 4 yesterday. It’s a good news for me, but just a good news, not other things any more.

This is a GREAT WordPress plugin!

I am a lazy blogger, and once I install a blog with WordPress, I will not upgrade even if the Admin board reminds me that there is a new WordPress version until I find the WordPress plugin:Wordpress Automatic Upgrade.

And this plugin, WordPress automatic upgrade help me upgrade automatically. One year ago, I have this idea but I did not find this plugin, and now, this is a first plugin when I install a blog with WordPress.

This plugin do this automatically instead of your work.

Backs up the files and makes available a link to download it.
Backs up the database and makes available a link to download it.
Downloads the latest files from http://wordpress.org/latest.zip and unzips it.
Puts the site in maintenance mode.
De-activates all active plugins and remembers it.
Upgrades wordpress files.
Gives you a link that will open in a new window to upgrade installation.
Re-activates the plugins.

There is a tip, just install this plugin, but do not active this plugin until you need to upgrade your WordPress blog.

How to use WP-Affiliate in Mysql 4.0

Anyway, there are some people still use the Mysql 4.0, like me , but I am not using Mysql 4.0 in this blog : WordPress Online.

Well, WP-affiliate is a good WordPress plugin for me, because I use this great plugin to find my affiliate link clicking state.

If you are the same to me and install this great WordPress plugin, I believe that you are very satisfactory. Anyway, if you are using this plugin under Mysql 4.0, you can’t use the state function.

Why? This is because the Mysql 4.0 can not support the SQLsyntax below:

`thestamp` TIMESTAMP NOT NULL DEFAULT CURRENT_TIMESTAMP

There is not current_timestamp in Mysql 4.0. so what you do is this below:

Open the WP-affiliate directory and find the PHP file named wp-affiliate-install-functions.php
Open this file and find the the code in line 42 like below:
`thestamp` TIMESTAMP NOT NULL DEFAULT CURRENT_TIMESTAMP,
Replace this code into the code below:
`thestamp` TIMESTAMP,
