Being an Affiliate Marketer for the past several years means I’m always looking for tools that will help me sell or promote products.

One Tool I just love is WordPress…. “A BLOG?” I hear you scream.

Yes a blog but not used in the true sense of a blog. I’ll come back to this in a bit.

You see, I use WordPress to promote and sell products online for one simple reason. WordPress is just loved, and I mean “LOVED” by search engines.

Why? Well let me explain.
By tradition, blogs are used to distribute information quickly and are for ever changing in the information that is being posted. Unlike a conventional website that uses many static pages and may have a “News Feed” to try to make the site look interesting to search engines.

So using WordPress gives me quick ranking pages and that’s what I need if I want to make sales before my competitors and let’s be honest.. We are all in this game for one reason… “GREED”.
We all want to make money!

So all sounds great but before you all rush off to download WordPress and start trying to make a killing in product sales, there is one HUGE problem with using WordPress as a sales platform.
Let me explain.

When I decide to promote/sell a product, I want the page it sites in to be themed to that particular product.
As an example, when I sell “Health Care” products, I want the page design to have healthy looking people in the banner/header. I want it to look fresh and invigoration with a green and yellow color scheme.

When I sell/promote “Dog Training Videos”, I want the page to have a nice looking puppy in the header or banner. I may want the overall color scheme to be browns as an example.

Now here’s the problem. WordPress only allows for one theme to be used which is used “Site Wide”.

Blogs and pages use the same theme, colors, images and fonts.

So this is a problem that stops many from using WordPress, or they have to go and create two WordPress websites.
One for “Health Care” and the other for “Dog Training” in my example.
They have to spend twice the amount on hosting and Domain names.
They also have to administer two WordPress sites with all the plugins and updates.

But this is no problem for me.

I sell all my products from one WordPress site. Every page I create has its own theme that does not affect any other pages I create. And I can still have a blog sitting in the background for my “Autoblog” plugin that helps drive traffic to my site.

I only have to administer one WordPress site selling over 50 products and therefore only have one monthly hosting bill.

So how can I achieve all of this?

Well a few months ago, I created a new tool called “WKS” and it has really been a life saver.

After installing it, my WordPress site became, what I call, a “POWER SITE“.

I can create sales pages, squeeze pages, landing pages, CPA pages and so much more from this single tool.
I can pick the exact images I wish to use, the color scheme and even the font face that is used but that’s only a small amount of versatility “WKS” brings me.

With “WKS” you can:

Change the page color
Add an image to the page background
Change the sheet color
Add an image to the sheet background
Add Header
Add H1 and H2 tags to the Header image
Change the width of the sheet
Add a footer
Add a footer color
Add a footer image
Add a footer menu
Change the font used for the entire page
Size the font for the entire page

An all from within WordPress… And on the fly.

I go as so far to say “WKS” actually make each page act and feel like its very own Mini-Websites.

It also works with all other themes out there so if you like your current blog theme, you don’t have to loose it. “WKS” sits along side of it.

If you have read any of my other articles, you’ll know that I’m a big WordPress fan.

Not for the excellent blogging feature it has, but for the way search engines seem to favour indexing the pages. Now that’s an Affiliates Dream!

For several years now, I have been making a nice penny or two selling and promoting products online. Yes, I’m an affiliate marketer but a modest one.

I don’t count myself as a Guru nor do I pretend to make millions of dollars a year.

No, I make a tidy amount to subsidize my income that helps to provide those little treats we all like from time to time.

I have to also admit, it’s nice to be able to use Paypal to buy gifts for my wife, as she does not see any bank statements that tell her how much I have spent on her. You see, she does all the accounts.

So you see, I’m just an ordinary guy, living in the UK and has a love of Affiliate sales.

OK so enough waffle and let me get to the point.

I wanted to take this opportunity to explain how I use WordPress to sell and promote products.

Not hard you may think and to be honest, you’re quite right. It really is easy to throw together a Page and populate it with affiliate links but what I do is just a little bit different.

With WordPress, you can create sales pages but there is a big issue with doing this. Not with SEO or loopholes in security. It’s much more fundamental than that.

You see, WordPress only allows you to use one theme for your site. That theme is then used on every page or post you create. Now as an affiliate marketer, that gives me a problem. I cannot create a Page that is truly themed to the product I am selling.

For example, let’s say I am promoting 3 products.

“How to lose weight in 3 weeks”
“Making your first million online”
“Cocktail making for beginners”

3 completely unrelated products and if I were using a conventional website, I would have 3 pages that are themed for the product they are selling.

In WordPress, if I use a theme called “ABC” then all the sales pages will have to use the “ABC” theme.

No Good!

When a potential customer visits the “How to lose weight in 3 weeks” squeeze/sales page, I want a header that show a tape measure around some ones waist.

For the “Making your first million online” product, I want a header that has a Sports Car and Cash falling from the sky.

And for the “Cocktail making for beginners” I want a header that shows several cocktail line up along a bar.

It’s a shame then that the “ABC” theme I have installed in WordPress, has an image of the “Sea” as a header.. so what to do?

Well I could just use the “ABC” theme that also has a sidebar and let my site act as a Review site, hoping the visitors hit my “Buy Now” button and not one of the links in the sidebar.

Or I could have 3 WordPress websites. One for each product and all having their own themes, but that would cost me lots of money just in monthly hosting fees alone. I would also have to spend a lot of time updating 3 websites when WordPress or a Plug-in is updated. Personally, I would rather send the time looking for more products to sell.

Well this situation happened to me some time ago and I did not want to settle for any of the options I have stated above.

So being an inquisitive guy, I started looking at how I could make WordPress use different themes for the pages I created.

I spent months looking at ways to force WordPress to do what I wanted.

To get techie, I messed about with telling WP to use different Style.css file for different pages… it was a bit hit and miss.

Eventually I came up with a solution that gave me everything I wanted. I basically wanted WordPress to create Independent Mini Website but with all the advantages of WordPress being indexed quickly by search engines.

So was born the “WKS Tool” (WordPress Killer Sites Tool)

A Tool so powerful, the finished product has completely changed the way I use WordPress.

With one WordPress Website, I can create hundreds, thousands of Product Sales Pages that all have their very own designs.

I also only have to pay for 1 monthly hosting bill which is a real bonus.

Why page title different in Google results from the defined title in the HTML code. Only thing I could think of is we use a www.host.com/client structure so it creates the title “Client – Host.com”
