So this is a port of the iOS/Android version which is a port of the DS version with nicer graphics?

I already know FF4 was on psp but why they didn’t make it like DS FF4 version, it better than ff4 psp cause it just boring.

Not to mention complete collection is by far the best version of IV in terms of content. I mean, it is still awesome to have the DS version because the vocals add a new kind of magic to it.

For the most part this is a port, but from comparing this video to a part of a walkthrough of the DS version, the sound quality is much better on here, and it seems the music is slightly changed also. Not much. But slightly. The graphics on here also seem quite a bit smoother. The PSP version also gives the option to set the soundtrack to the original version.

However, content-wise it is an exact port. No reason to get it over the DS version. The DS version is much cheaper.

Yeah I prefer a HD version of 2D sprites instead of dated 3D. IV`s PSP looks more beautiful than the DS version.

In fact… 00:03 even the logo is duel-wielding. xD

actually, according to IGN News, this PSP Port from the DS Game is going to get a UMD treatment while the other 12 Final Fantasy Games end up getting re-released on PS1, PS2, and PS3 discs, and they will all be in one special Collector’s Box Set that will be released for the FF series’ 25th Anniversary which actually is happening.

    hope this helps.

The more I watch this, the more I know I will get this game. If I ever get paid in the future, I’m paying good for it.

Luneth looks like a younger Yaag Rosch imo. xD
Speaking of FFXIII after that game even this wimpy boss gives me nightmares… -__-
04:40 One thing I like about this game is everyone can duel-wield… even mages… and even shields.

Do you plan on doing all the optional bosses as well becasue some of them can be real bitches!!!

3D models > 2D sprites IMO. If you want the sprites you can always play the original.

Shame they never used 2d sprites for this game like what they did with FFIV anniversary edition, they could of kept the DS’s plot and chararcters and just had the classical 2d sprites

I think a boss playthrough would be good. You already have enough walkthroughs currently going right now, and we don’t want to overwhelm you

Eh, I don’t know what SE wanted to do for the anniversary, but this is a “port” of the DS version. The game was released today on Japan and the game is Multi-3.
