How to encourage people to click on my WordPress entries?

September 1st, 2010 Leave a comment Go to comments

Hey guys, if people visit my wordpress blog, and they can read the whole thing without clicking on the entry, would that lower my visitor statistics?

Is there anyway to make them click on the entry in order to read it in full? There are only a few themes that feature excerpts like that.

You’re better off keeping a whole post up. People are lazy, and unless you’re extremely prolific and write interesting content, most will not bother to click thru. There is really no way to “make” visitors do something, unless, like I said, your content is really interesting.

You need to have an interesting post. Other than that, you can try to change the style of your page by showing only a single post on homepage. Actually, there’s a lot of wordpress themes that have the feature you mention, need to search for it. Some of my favorite place would be this site : http://bloggermaniacs.com/

    It’s all FREE.
