Unzip the ZIP file onto your computer

Then move the folder to where you want via FTP program like WinSCP

Then just go to the folder location, for example if you uploaded the folder and changed the folder name to WordPress go to

    yoursitename.com/wordpress

and the installation instructions will be there

    for more information check out

What do you mean “what the hell am I supposed to upload to this site”? You upload the WP files of course… Didn’t you read the 5 minute installation…it tells you everything.

That’s how you get your blog running.

So you already have a hosting. Log in to your hosting (Control Panel) search for Fantasticodata (good webhosting usually have it).

Choose whatever platform you want from there. Let say you choose WP. Select WP and it will install it.

There’s no need to use FTP and so on.

First off, make sure your hosting plan allows FTP access. Some do not, like GoDaddy’s website tonight plan. Also check if your hosting provider offers a WordPress database -if not, you may have to fiddle with MySLQ to set up a database.

The famous 5-minute install can be found here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress#Famous_5-Minute_Install

If you run into problems, check out WordPress’s FAQ’s or Troubleshooting page

I have a free e-mail series on how to use WordPress on my blog.

    http://www.speedonlinewealth.com/blog

In Part One, I give people a link to a free PDF report with clear instructions about how to install WordPress (different methods). The report has lots of screen shots.

In other parts of the series I talk about other things you need to set up WordPress blogs to change the look and add features like the ability to do podcasts (for those who would like to) and all kinds of cool things.

My free series is very good for people who want to make money with their WordPress blog (either selling their own products or being an affiliate for other people’s products) but it’s also helpful to people who just want to set up a nice looking blog with the least amount of fuss possible.

I wasted hours and hours trying to figure out how to use WordPress when I first began. Then I bought a really good guide and that helped a lot. I mention it in my series. I designed the series to save people the trouble that I went through.

    Once again the link is:

    http://www.speedonlinewealth.com/blog

Sign up either through the pop-up message or the sign up box on the right-hand side of the screen.

I look forward to seeing some new subscribers! I enjoy helping people with WordPress. :)
