Get yourself a domain and any real webhosting and you can do whatever you want with your blog.

Check out the hosts that WordPress themselves recommend.

    Blue Host
    DreamHost (mine – they’re great!)
    MediaTemple
    HostICan
    Laughing Squid

host a web server on your computer at home and get a tinyurl to it… have your web server listen on some random obscure port or maybe even the VNC port. open it on your router and set it to forward. that would be the most inexpensive option.

    You can try http://www.wpwebhost.com/affiliate/idevaffiliate.php?id=210

But I think the best way to decide on a WordPress hosting is to do the following:

    1. Go to the webhost review sites such as webhostingjury, hostingsthatsuck.com or webhostinggeeks and list down about 3 to 5 common top hosting companies. Most of the top hosts will have Fantastico which is the ability to install WordPress in one click.

    2. Next, for each web hosting X, do a “X sucks” search on Google. Read some complaints and see if you may encounter the same problems like them. Some of the complaints may relate to certain groups of users only such as VPS, dedicated server users or resellers. So you may not be affected if you are just hosting a simple WordPress blog.

    3. Eliminate those hostings you feel uncomfortable with, and look for the best bargain hosting for your money.

Some good WordPress hosting include Fatcow, Bluehost and Justhost.

I recommend one of these: http://www.hosttell.com/

Powweb is on a 50% sale – $3.88/month ($46.56/year), and you get a free domain from them.

They all include easy one click install of WordPress through Fantastico.
You can include ads to it, and customize it however you want.

Go to http://www.myownfreeweb.com where you can set up WordPress with the clip of one button. Unlike other hosts where you have to upload everything, here they already have preinstalled WordPress so all you have to do is click and it self installs. Then you just add your adverts and you are good to go. It’s free and simple to use.

I love WordPress & all my sites are using WP. Anyways I suggest that you opt for any low cost shared hosting like http://www.webhostingpad.com/2093.html. Everything unlimited & for $3 something, you also get a domain free for life, so no need to pay $10 each year. You will find everything unlimited here at a very low price. I myself have 13 websites hosted under one account with decent traffic. You can read a review here: http://hostingwebsitecoupons.com/webhostingpad. They also provide one click install, though doing it yourself is also child’s play WP is so good.

Next you would need the right set of plugins & themes. You could also possibly import your existing blog here. You can write to me in person: earthtechie[at]gmail.com. Thats enough from my side, you see i am a great guy :D , now give me the best answer ranking & do as i say :p …
    God Bless.

    Mangal.

PS: Buy web space asap & start testing. It takes time to have a website you can offer your customers.
